Melbourne Foodie and Shopping Weekend

Join us for a weekend of great food and shopping in the
cosmopolitan city of Melbourne. Our tour starts on arrival in
Melbourne mid-late morning on the Friday and concludes after
lunch on Sunday to allow an early evening return to Auckland.
The package is land-only and we have a travel agent for air
bookings or travel insurance. Accommodation is at a good
quality, centrally-located hotel, so we won't waste a moment
getting to those shops and restaurants!
Why not get a couple of friends together? We only need
three confirmed bookings to run the weekend!
Here is a brief outline of our fabulous weekend:
Friday:
* Transfer from airport/meet at hotel mid/late
morning
* Lunch at Journal Canteen serving rustic-style Italian
food
* Short orientation walking tour of downtown Melbourne, its major
department stores and its laneways (includes two chocolate
shops!)
* Free time for shopping
* Welcome evening cocktail and Middle Eastern-style nibbles at Greg
Malouf's trendy cocktail lounge Spice Market
* Spanish Tapas at hugely popular bar Movida
Saturday - a big foodie day:
* Hearty breakfast at The European
* Shopping at kitchen and cookware shop
* Walk and shop around huge Queen Victoria Market
* Coffee and sweets at Sicilian bakery
* Cookbook shopping at large specialty bookstore
* Authentic Spanish food store visit and shopping
* Special degustation dinner at Sardinian restaurant Da
Noi
Sunday:
* Free morning for last-minute shopping or sightseeing (we
are happy to make suggestions)
* Farewell lunch at Greek restaurant Hellenic
Republic
* Transfer to airport to allow early evening return to Auckland
Special Inaugural Weekend Land-Only Package price of AU$950
is all-inclusive of:
* Melbourne airport return transfers (if travelling on
same flights as guide)
* Share-twin accommodation for 2 nights (single supplement
available)
* Most meals: Friday lunch and tapas-style dinner, Saturday
hearty breakfast and degustation dinner, Sunday lunch
* Welcome drink on Friday evening and wine with Saturday
dinner
* Transport within Melbourne using a combination of taxis and
public transport
* Personally escorted by myself throughout the weekend
Minimum group size 3 participants - maximum of 6 to ensure
conviviality!
