Sydney Foodies Weekend

What could be more fun than a weekend of food and shopping with fellow foodies in Australia's leading harbour city of Sydney!

 

Our tour starts on arrival in Sydney mid-late morning on the  Friday and concludes to allow a late Sunday afternoon/evening return to Auckland.  The package is land-only but we have a travel agent for air bookings if required.  Accommodation is at a good quality, centrally-located serviced apartment/hotel.

 

Here is a brief outline of the weekend: 

 

Friday:

* Meet in Sydney mid/late morning
* Walking tour of Italian neighbourhood of Haberfield
* Welcome drink
* Informal dinner at a specially selected restaurant

 

Saturday:

* Guided visit to the Pyrmont Good Living Market and Sydney Seafood Market with top caterer Judy Leach
* Shopping at Paddington market, Oxford Street
* Shopping at a discount supplier of cookware, homeware and giftware
* Dinner prepared for us in the accommodation by our own personal chef, Caterer Judy Leach, using ingredients purchased at the markets that day (Saturday)

 

Sunday:

* Last minute shopping
* Farewell brunch/lunch
* Tour concludes to allow return to Auckland early evening

 

Land-Only Package price from NZ$1200 is all-inclusive of:

 

* Sydney airport return transfers (if travelling on same flights as tour guide)
* Share-twin accommodation for 2 nights (single supplement available)
* Almost all meals:  lunch and dinner on Friday, light breakfast and catered dinner on Saturday, brunch/lunch on Sunday
* Wine with Saturday dinner
* Transport within Sydney using a combination of taxis and public transport
* Personally escorted by myself throughout the weekend
* Exclusive guiding by caterer Judy Leach at markets plus preparation of our dinner Saturday evening

 

* Small group size of 6 participants max to ensure conviviality!

 

The tour programme is subject to change, depending upon interesting new places or events to experience in Sydney!.  The proposed October 2010 weekend is timed to be held during the Sydney Food Festival, so the tour programme will vary from that described above.

 

Tour requires a minimum of 3 participants to proceed.
